How 3 Kings Saved R&B…

Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank are three artists who individually epitomize the genre created for romance, seduction, love making and recreating love

Singly, all 3 artists boast catalogues of singles that ladies men over the past 3 decades will proudly boast of owning and their ladies will admit to being seduced by.

Tyrese is the gentleman that seduces his ladies with such tracks as ‘Lately’, ‘Sweet Lady’, ‘One’ and ‘Nothing on You.’

Ginuwine is the artist that is more likely to have many couples running to the bedroom with classics ‘Pony’ and ‘In Those Jeans’.

Tank takes credit for saving your relationship from the brink, with hits like ‘Please Don’t Go’, ‘Emergency’ and ‘Next Breath.’

Together, their collaboration TGT is the perfect combination for anybody with a love for R&B, the ultimate joining of styles. The perfect ‘boy group’ but with a twist… 3 experienced, multitalented men that happen to be best friends. Individually men want to be them, women want to be with them, while together, they are an unstoppable team, ready to take the industry by storm.

This album has been in the making for the past 6 years but due to legal issues with the artists’ individual labels, it has finally made it to market thanks to their hard work, determination and new label Atlantic Records to which they signed in 2012.

TGT 3 Kings

Less then a year on we now have the 3 Kings album, 17 tracks that are all as good as the next. The combination of ‘Sex, Love and Pain’, means there’ll be a track for everyone with a love for the trio. A combination of writing styles and ranges of falsettos makes this album something special.

Single-handedly TGT have rescued R&B.

Since the turn of the millennium, it’s been rare to get slow jams on the radio, maybe because songs are no longer played for a full 4 minutes and these love making hits are designed not to be cut short at the point of climax, but to be seen through to the satisfying end.

We envision this ‘babymaking’ album to find its place among the Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’ and Ray Charles ‘I Can’t Stop Loving You’ as a smooth, modern reworking of the classic love songs. The album ‘3 Kings’ already has its place among the greatest R&B works of all time. Benny Boom, video producer for the single ‘I Need’, says during a behind-the-scenes look that, “There’s a lot of hip-hop out there nowadays, but R&B is the foundation of ‘black music’, the foundation of hip-hop… They’re bringing back that emotional sense of R&B that both women and men can connect to.”

The first single from the album, ‘I Need’ sums up the album with a range of vocals from the trio that entice you to want to hear it over and over again, a great video to support and as the title suggests… You really do ‘Need’ this album.
